Hurricane Isaias makes landfall near Ocean Isle Beach

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY/AP) — Hurricane Isaias has made landfall near Ocean Isle Beach, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Duke Energy reported hundreds of thousands of power outages as heavy rains and winds battered areas including Wrightsville, Kure, and Carolina beaches in Wilmington.
The US National Hurricane Center upgraded Isaias again to a hurricane Monday evening with maximum sustained winds of 85 mph.
It was centered about 40 miles east northeast of Myrtle Beach.
